Herbert L. Henkel

Retired Chairman of Ingersoll-Rand Company (manufacturer of industrial products and components) from May 2000 to June 2010, having been Chairman and Chief Executive Officer from May 2000 to February 2010, President and Chief Executive Officer from October 1999 to May 2000, and President and Chief Operating Officer from April to October 1999; President and Chief Operating Officer of Textron, Inc. from 1998 to 1999, having been President of Textron Industrial Products from 1995 to 1998; age 60. Mr. Henkel has been a director of C. R. Bard since April 2002 and is a member of the Executive Committee, Compensation Committee, Governance Committee and Finance Committee. He is also a director of 3M Company.
